Summary

I studied Architectural Design for four years, attaining a Career and Technical Education certification in the state of Nevada. Constantly balancing engineering constraints and stakeholder needs, I designed in this balancing point.

Among 4 national design competitions, I grew skills in:

2D Design

with AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator

2D Design

with AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator

3D Design

with Twinmotion, Revit & FormIt

Physical Modeling

Laser-cut chipboard and all-nighters

Pitching

Defending blueprints to national judges

Takeaways

Growth comes from consistent hat switching.

In every part of the design process, I envisioned the space I built from every angle—from sun path analysis to terrain mapping. Retaining my creative direction meant not resisting these constraints, but hearing them and tinkering to find a way that blends these all together for the user of the space.

Be intentional with each detail.

Creating rendered images allowed me to see which ideas were translated to focal points. Every decision I made was one aligned to the intention of the space. Iterating through crit sessions or simply taking a day to step back from my designs allowed me to realign these details.
