Hey, I’m Josh!
I’m studying Cognitive Science @ USC.
As a first-generation student, creativity has often served as a refuge for my responsibilities. I began my time at USC studying neuroscience, sheltering my creative urges to provide closure for my grandpa’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. But my experience living in LA, a creative mecca, widened my stance on the impact I can make in my work — and thus began an effort to blend these passions.
I experimented with everything, from DJing to product management, eventually leading to product design: the middle ground that houses my urges to design and make impact at scale. Whether I’m designing software or creating music live with code, I’m learning how to listen more closely to users, to collaborators, and to context.
In such a fast-evolving design and tech industry, I’ve learned to move with rhythm: listening to when users want to move fast, need space, or have some time to breathe. I want the products and communities I build to feel intentional, grounded and in sync with the people they’re made for.
